The interior of the saucepans and stock pots are marked with easy-to-use measurement markings so you know how much rice or liquid to add. This premium set features versatile swing lids for the Fry Pans allowing the 3 Qt Saucepan lid to fit the 8-Inch Fry Pan, 3.5 Qt Saute Pan lid to fit the 10-Inch Fry Pan, and the 5.5 Qt Casserole Pan lid to fit the 12-Inch Fry Pan. Dual spouts on the Sauce/Butter/Milk pan allow for right and left handed pouring. The Universal Steamer fits both the 2-Quart and 3-Quart Sauce Pan. The cookware features the signature Viking solid cast stainless steel handles that are riveted on with stainless steel rivets for a lifetime of use. The stainless steel pans are oven, grill, and broiler safe to 600°F without the lid. A few pro tips: The important thing with clad cookware is to not overheat it. Signs of overheating include blue or brown tints in the stainless steel. These tints are only cosmetic and can be cleaned with BarKeepers Friend or EZ Brite PennyBrite cleaner. Never run a hot pan under cold water as the shock can warp the stainless steel. Allow the pan to cool naturally before moving it to the sink for cleaning. The long handles are designed to stay cool, but if they are being used on a crowded stove (especially gas), they may be hot from the indirect heat of other burners. Side handles will get hot, especially when heating liquids. Always use caution or a heat protection when handling hot cookware.
